The Animal Care Team of Fort St James issued a plea via social media for assistance in providing food for households with hungry canines.
Within a mere two hours of the post, the community exhibited remarkable generosity, filling the back of Care Team member Lesley Braden’s truck with donations on April 10.
Reflecting on the swift response, Braden said,”It was unreal seeing the community come together that quickly.”
This outpouring of support has inspired Braden to initiate monthly food drives, aiming to better assist community members caring for both canine and feline companions.
She can be seen above feeding a dog brought in by the smell of the food alone.
