Carolyne Kennedy

Kennedy, Carolyne passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2023, in Duncan, BC at the age of 76.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Les Kennedy and her parents Percy Milton and Dorothy Milton, as well as her brother, Bob Milton.
She is survived by sons Darin (Loretta) Mike (Kali), and David (Shannon) together with her grandchildren Bella, Samson, Nolan, Gabby, Calum, and Norah.
She is also survived by her sister Joni Tsougrianis and Joni's children, Elias, and Sophie.
Carolyne was born on December 7th, 1946, in Saint John NB, where she attended Simonds High School. After graduation, Carolyne attended UNB in Fredericton where she received her teacher certification. She moved to BC in 1969 and taught for more than 35 years, a large portion of that time was in Fort St. James, BC, where she made many lifelong friends and influenced many future students.
Carolyne retired from teaching in 2005, and she spent the last 18 years of her retirement in Duncan, on Vancouver Island, where some of her interests included travelling, photography, and participating with her friends in book clubs. Carolyne had many friends and an active social life. Her thirst for knowledge and passion to learn and explore - served as an inspiration for all who knew and loved her.
She left this world a well-travelled, well-read, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
A simple memorial service will be held November 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Memorial Funeral Services Hall, located at 375 Brae Rd, Duncan, BC. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC at www.heartandstroke.ca
